What is A Place for Jazz?
A Place for Jazz isn't really a
place, it's a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization dedicated to presenting the
best in Jazz. Programs include concerts, public workshops,
school-based clinics, a Jazz website and general support of Jazz and its
musicians. Our concerts are held in the Whisperdome, the
beautiful listening-space in the First Unitarian Society at 1221 Wendell
Ave in Schenectady. (Click here for directions.)
We receive most of our funding from our
ticket sales and membership contributions; a portion comes from a grant
from the Schenectady County Improvement Program and other generous
grantors.
We welcome your participation and membership.
