| From: Karen Johnson Date: Fri, 14 Nov 2008 Subject: Help Schenectady music students I'm working with Schenectady friends of Music and the Musicians Union as well as Proctors on trying to collect unused musical instruments, cases, music, etc. Our flyer is attached for details -- Instruments and even a donation would be great. We'll be collecting instruments on November 21 at Art Night from 5-10 p.m.; on November 22 from 3-5 p.m. just before the parade; and on November 23 from 10-2:00 at the Greenmarket - All at Robb Alley, Proctors. Other times that weekend, instruments may be left at the Proctors Box office with a form identifying the instrument and the donor. If this schedule does not work for folks, call Steve Weisse, 346-4266, President Friends of Music and pick up or drop off can be arranged. There are lots of kids who are sharing instruments now. Playing music may be keeping some of these kids in school. Let's help where we can. Thanks for considering this -- and spreading the word where possible. Karen
